Shaoli Shi, R.Ac, Dr TCM

Dr Shaoli Shi has over 30 years of clinical experience. She is a registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner. 

She began studying Chinese and Western medicine in 1979. She graduated from the Tianjin College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and further earned a Master of Science Degree in Internal Medicine in 1987. She practiced internal medicine at the Tianjin University of TCM affiliated Hospital in China. She has also published several papers on Chinese medicine and co-authored the Handbook of Clinical Practice of the Integration of Traditional and Western Medicine. 

In 1991, she moved to Winnipeg, MB to practice as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine and an acupuncturist at the Winnipeg Naturopathic Clinic for 5 years before setting up her own practice in 1997 - Acupuncture and Chinese Medical Centre. 

She is licensed through the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners & Acupuncturists of British Columbia, She is a member of the Manitoba Professional Acupuncture Association and The Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada. 

She has completed additional advanced training in nutritional therapy in medical practice, instant pain relief technique, Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal technique, and advanced training in NAET. She is trained to perform Fu's subcutaneous needle (FSN) from founder Dr Zhonghua Fu (a modern style of ancient acupuncture), as well as Scalp neuro-acupuncture. Most recently, she has completed training in the advanced motion acupuncture technique for pain relief. Dr Shi continues to share her experiences and lectures nationally and internationally on Chinese medicine and acupuncture topics. 

She has enjoyed living in Winnipeg for just over 30 years and practicing in her clinic for close to the same amount of time. Dr Shi has helped thousands of patients relieve different illnesses (involving pain, food/environmental sensitivities, infertility, mental illness, and weight management) with her knowledge, passions and skills.
