Healing Massage

Healing massage (Tuina) has been widely used in China for centuries. It is a combination of massage, acupressure, and many other forms of body manipulations. Tuina practitioner applies moderate (or high) pressures to acu-points (or meridians) and muscles (or nerves) to remove qi-blockages and restore bio-energy flow. Therefore, body’s healing power is activated which leads to normal function and better health. Sometime, a local treatment may bring improvement to the whole body.

Tuina is best suited for rectifying chronic pain, musculoskeletal conditions, and stress-related disorders in the digestive or respiratory systems. Typical illness includes neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain, sciatica, tennis elbow, constipation, premenstrual symptoms, and emotional stresses. Due to its vigorous manipulation, tuina is not recommended to patients with osteoporosis, fractures or open wounds, skin diseases, and infectious diseases.
